Couples
Therapy

Couples therapy is a type of psychotherapy in which a therapist with clinical experience working with couples, most often a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist [LMFT], helps two people involved in a romantic relationship gain insight into their relationship, resolve conflict and improve relationship satisfaction utilizing a variety of therapeutic interventions.

Therapy is helpful to increase well-being by learning how to cope with obstacles and overcome them. In fact, once the therapeutic relationship and process truly start, there is a “ricochet effect” that leads to a sense of accomplishment and empowerment to continue to grow and continue to become the best version of one self (increase self-esteem).

People in therapy can learn skills for handling difficult situations, making healthy decisions, and reaching goals. Many find they enjoy the therapeutic journey of becoming more self-aware. Some people even go to ongoing therapy for self-growth.
